Terms of Service

Docket AI is a service that lets small businesses create, send, and track invoices, quotes, receipts, agreements, and other business documents, primarily through WhatsApp and through docketbusiness.com.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Docket AI Ltd (“Docket”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or messaging our WhatsApp number you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.

You must be at least 18 and have the authority to enter this contract on behalf of the business you’re signing up. Docket is intended for businesses — sole traders, partnerships, and companies — not for personal use.

You’re responsible for keeping your login and WhatsApp number secure. Tell us straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

Everything you put into Docket — documents, customer records, templates, logos, messages — stays yours. You give us the licence we need to store it, display it back to you, and transmit it (for example, generating a PDF or sending a message on your behalf).

You’re responsible for making sure you have the right to share the information you put into Docket (for example, your customers’ contact details), and for the accuracy of documents you generate. Docket does not check the arithmetic or the legal effect of your documents.

Don’t use Docket to:

• Send spam, unsolicited marketing, or messages that break the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy.
• Impersonate someone else or misrepresent the business you’re acting for.
• Generate false invoices, sham receipts, or any document that facilitates tax evasion or fraud.
• Harass, threaten, or defraud recipients.
• Reverse-engineer the service, probe for vulnerabilities outside a coordinated disclosure programme, or use the API in a way that materially degrades service for others.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Where WhatsApp requires it, we’ll pass along policy violations that affect their platform.

Docket uses AI to draft documents and reply to chat. AI outputs can be wrong. Treat every document draft as a suggestion — you are responsible for reviewing it before sending it to a customer.

You keep the rights to the outputs Docket generates for you, subject to our AI provider’s terms. AI outputs are not legal, tax, or accounting advice.

The Free plan is free. Pro and Business plans are billed monthly in advance in the currency shown at checkout. Prices in the local currency are converted from our GBP reference price and may fluctuate.

Paid plans start with a 14-day trial. You’re not charged until the trial ends. Cancel at any time in your settings; cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the current period. We don’t give refunds for partial months except where required by law.

If a payment fails, we’ll retry and email you. If payment isn’t recovered within 14 days, we’ll downgrade the account to Free.

Docket evolves. We may add features, change how features work, or retire ones that aren’t serving customers well. If a change removes a material feature, we’ll give you 30 days’ notice by email and you can cancel for a pro-rated refund of any unused prepaid period.

If we change these terms, we’ll email active accounts at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Docket after that counts as acceptance.

We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Docket is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited under UK law (including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you have paid us in that period, or (b) £100. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss.

You can close your account at any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if we’re required to by law. Where the situation allows, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it.

On termination you can export your documents for 30 days. After that, personal data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
